New English webpages
with more information and more to come
The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration (IRCA) has updated its English webpages as can be seen here. The new webpages are more like their Icelandic counterparts. They are though a lot fewer and concentrated on information for the traveller.
For the time being information about road conditions and weather that are updated many times a day on the Icelandic webpages are not available in English. The map of Iceland with similar information is in English and is updated simultaneously.
There are also information about driving in Iceland and how that can be different from driving in many other countries. There is a reason for drivers to be extra careful for example when driving on unpaved roads.
