About us
The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration (IRCA) is responsible for about 13.000 km. of main roads and country side roads in Iceland. This includes planning, design, construction, maintenance and service of those roads. IRCA is also responsible for ferry operations which are all outsourced to ferry companies.
Effective since July 1st 2013, all harbour and lighthouse operations and responsibilities at the Icelandic Maritime Administration have been merged with IRCA.
